About

I'm a recent Lehigh University mechanical engineering grad with minors in energy engineering and product design. My background is in industrial equipment design and hands-on fabrication. Combining engineering design with functional fabrication knowhow helps me make products that are simple and effective.

Designing and making my ideas come to life is something I take pride in being able to do well. You learn a lot when an aspect of a project goes wrong, and you are forced to push through and find new solutions. Being able to work through the iterative design process is incredibly important to end us with a product you are satisfied with.

Outside of work I've spent countless hours in the mountains and in the sea: leading backpacking, climbing, and surfing trips as an Outing Club officer at Lehigh as well as having fun in nature on my own. I know what gear failure looks like at 10,000 feet, and I want to design equipment that withstands heavy usage and extreme environments.

Hollow wood-frame surfboard build, ribs and rail clamped mid-construction

Experimental Surfcraft

Designed and shaped an experimental surfboard from the ground up. Utilizing a wooden lattice structure, we created a board that has much more torsional response that a conventional foam board and uses significantly less petroleum products.

Restrained PVC Joint Test Apparatus

Capstone project for Westlake Pipe & Fittings — designed and built a test rig to evaluate an internally restrained PVC joint through cyclic pressure loading in accordance with ASTM F1674.

Old School Recycled Longboard

A 9’0” longboard shaped out of an old broken board. Shaped and glassed from start to finish using recycled foam with a hand painted stripe design and logo. Bonzer inspired fin setup. Rides like a dream.

Finished injection-molded matchbox race car, Pink Panther

Manufacturing A Matchbox Car

Our Team took basic design guidelines from students at Broughal Middle School, to a fully functioning, injection molded, matchbox car. 3D CAD, CAM, and MoldFlow software was used to optimize design and produce a car that outperformed our competition.

Shop Monitor, Design Labs — Lehigh University

Instructed and supervised students on safe use of woodshop and metal shop machinery and tools.

May 2023 — Jun 2026

Mechanical Engineering Intern, Wine Country Conveyor

Designed and modeled improvements to overhead box conveyor systems in SolidWorks, evaluated components for manufacturability, and prototyped a tool for rapid disassembly and reassembly of tabbed conveyor chains. Surveyed winery production facilities and assisted with on-site installation and modification of industrial equipment.

Prepped materials and provided critique for students' design projects; led TIG welding lessons for the course.

Harvest Intern, Radio Coteau Winery

Managed tasks critical to wine production; repaired and constructed tank thermostats, tools, hoses, fittings, and pipes; operated and maintained forklifts (OSHA certified).
